German Language
Guten tag and willkommen to the German language course at Dialecta!
"Es irrt der Mensch, solang er strebt."
- Faust, Johan Volfgang von Gete
The German language originates from the Germanic branch of the Indo-European language family. It has evolved through various historical periods, including Old German, Medieval German, and Modern German. Today, German is one of the key languages of Europe and the world, playing a significant role in the economy, politics, and culture. It is estimated that around 76 million people speak German as their native language worldwide. The largest number of native German speakers are found in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg. German is also popular as a second language, especially in Europe, where it is learned for business, educational, and cultural reasons. It is estimated that around 15-20 million people worldwide are learning German as a foreign language.
Throughout this exciting language journey, you will be guided by our experienced German language teacher. She has studied and worked both in Serbia and abroad, and has gained extensive experience in teaching German. Her invaluable professional experience has been shaped by her work at German language institutes, and numerous public and private schools, where she has taught for over 14 years. Teaching German is her primary passion, whether working with children or adults. The course is available for all ages, from 6 years and up, and is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). You can read more about the distribution of CEFR levels here.
At Dialecta, German is taught gradually and systematically. You will start with the correct pronunciation of German sounds and the present tense of the verbs "sein" and "haben," progressing to learning the cases (genitive, dative), past, and future tenses, and eventually mastering the passive voice and participles. By the end of the beginner (A1) course, you will be able to read and understand simple texts and dialogues from everyday life. Similarly, upon completing the advanced (C1) level, you will be able to conduct formal and informal conversations, write essays with ease and confidence, and participate in more complex discussions and debates. Each course at Dialecta is tailored to the individual progress of every student. Our teacher is dedicated to bringing out the full potential of each group by maximising the potential of every individual.
